Here is an informational video on what Hot Yoga is:
There is always a new and improved way to excersice. I love trying new things and so when I heard about hot yoga, I instantly wanted to try it. I am a pretty fit person and so I thought it wouldn't be too bad. But, I went with a basketball teammate and we decided to eat before and that wasn't such a HOT idea. Not knowing how intense the class would be we went with full stomachs and no regrets. That is until we entered the room and realized that hot yoga takes place in a sauna like room and no air movement. It felt very nice at first until the trainer comes in and decides to not only make you stretch in weird ways but hold that stretch until you are dripping buckets of sweat and want to rip all of your clothes off. Before the class, my teammate and I had gone to five below and purchased mats, but didn't realize that most people perform hot yoga with a towel underneath them or else you would be swimming in your own sweat which is what we did. Here is an informational video on what Hot Yoga is: Do you think you would be interested in hot yoga?

Rachel, I will most definitely take a towel the next time that I am going to hot yoga. Also, cool that you have a bucket list, I have one as well!

Hi Kylie! Very interesting blog, I really enjoyed reading about your experience with hot yoga. I thought that hot yoga was a great experience, and a fun (and disgusting) way to burn off some calories. I would have to agree that eating right before is a TERRIBLE idea. If you go to yoga on an empty stomach, you will not only bypass the horrible feeling of disgust while you're working out, but also bypass the self-consciousness your feel when you're in a sports bra and your stomach is bloated to the max. Save the pig-out session for after yoga class. I also really enjoyed the humor in your post like the "No Ragrets" picture. Its so relatable to every situation. Would you consider doing hot yoga again, or would you rather try some other sort of exercise?

Nina, I was, infact, bloated to the max and looking very tan so I was not as confident doing the warrior as I had hoped I would be but I would love to do it again. Not only did I have fun but as I said, it increased my flexibility and helped to release toxins! thanks for commenting!

Maggie, that is actually very interesting that you mentioned that because I was in the class and I felt very faint that I had to go out of the room and drink some gatorade! If you ever go I highly advise that you take gatorade and a ton of water and to take breaks in between. Enjoy!
