| I'm sure everyone who tries to write knows what I'm saying when I say I have trouble getting the words out how I want. Whether it's an emotional piece or informational I never know how I want to say, what I'm going to say, or even where to start. Even with this post, I stared at the title for five minutes not knowing what to call it. I have to find ways to get the creative juices flowing as they say. I've learned that I write best at night when it's dark out. I like to have a candle going as it is calming and smells nice. I've also learned that having some music on is helpful. Music can be distracting if it has lyrics for me though so I listen to Vitamin String Quartet which takes popular songs and reorganizes them with stringed instruments. I find that when I'm writing it takes me a few days to come up with what I want to say and get it how I want it, which is also what this article is saying. The article has ten ways to help you try and get unstuck with any project and is applicable to writing as well. |

Summer 2013 I started what changes most people's lives. I started drivers training. Two hours a day for three weeks. In the classroom we watched videos and learned the different road signs, at the end of the three weeks you would have to take a test to pass the class and also go through six hours of driving. Luckily, I was paired with my best friend for the driving portion.
Our instructor was one of the funniest people I have met so it made the classroom portion not as boring, but he had to show us awful videos of people getting in car crashes. I disliked that alot but I guess the videos worked because it made me more cautious on the road. And, helped me remeber the facts on the video. After I passed the written portion on the test I still had to go through the driving. The first two hours were great. I went home feeling super confident about my driving. The second two hours were awesome as well, except for the end. Somehow when we were making our way back to the school I got confused and turned too much on a corner and hit a road sign and cratched the crap out of the car. The instructor told me I was one of two people he had ever gotten in an accident with. Lucky for me he still passed me and I was able to get my permit... 8 months later it was my 16th birthday and I wanted to get my license. Everyone always told me I should practice the parking but I was concieted and went into my test thinking I was solid. I was far from solid. Six cones later I failed my test and was on the way home crying. My dad made me practice everyday for a whole week before I took my test again and finally passed!! I am now a licensed driver without a mark on my record. Picture from the monumental day of getting my licence:: |
