My parents always want me to experience new things so they thought this was a prime age to teach me how to ski. My dad was driving the boat while my mom was next to me in the water trying to guide me through the motions. She listed off of things like lean back, but not too much. Also bend your knees but not so much that your knees buckle. Keep your legs close together so your legs don't go apart. Even though I knew all of the right techniques I needed experience in doing all these things. I fell on my face a lot before I even could stay up for ten seconds. All of it was worth it though when I finally got up and could feel the wind in my face and feel like I was flying.
If I hadn't kept trying I would have never felt victorious when I got up and kept my balance. This was one of the first times in my life where I realized that if you keep trying you will succeed.
Here's a video of some funny wipeouts taking place on water. It happens to the best of us.
